Margaretville Pavilion 2007

The 2007 Design Workshop project is the Village Park Pavilion for the Town of Margaretville, NY, to replace their current pavilion erected nearly 40 years ago. The pavilion is near the end of its days and need to be replaced. The size of the pavilion is currently 45'x 100', and sits in a flood plain adjacent to the Delaware River and near the Village Park. The pavilion has been used in the past as the center for staging civic events and fundraising initiatives for the volunteer fire department, the hospital auxiliary, public festivals, as well as daily recreational use. An adjacent outdoor cooking facility is part of the program. Connections and inventive relationships to the ball fields, adjacent ice-skating area, and the Delaware River are critical to consider in developing the design. |
